well personally, I do like her ,but it's just she is too overused. I REALLY DO understand that without her VOCALOID would not be this much popular and famous. But for me there are many other vocaloids that sings and sounds better than her that should also has to be treated as such. I might get a lot of hates for this but face it, even UTAUs sounds MORE gorgeous and majestic than her that people almost forget about their existence and never gave a single crap about them just because they are not that much popular like Miku (and to the fact that they are just UTAUs, not VOCALOIDS so they are not really that recognizable by people)....take Tei Sukone and Namine Ritsu for example. They had such wonderful voice and yet there are just only few people in the world that had appreciated them.
Same goes to the other VOCALOIDS like Anon and Kanon, YOHIOloid, OLIVER, Galaco, CUL, KAITO, MEIKO, Lily, VY2 , VY1 Mizki and other vocaloids that I cannot list here all at once that has been overshadowed by Hatsune Miku. People just need to take a break from her and start focusing on other vocaloids as well, they REAAAALLYYY needed more LOVE u know.

( sorry for such a long-ass opinion here, just stating facts. Keep lovin' Miku for all the Miku lovers here, Kay? I'm not here to argue or anything)

Everything is overrated anyway. This word should be banned from certain mouth.

She is, but without her appearance, the VOCALOID franchise would not have prospered as well as it did. KAITO was deemed a "failure" as he did not sell to well early on. But when Miku was introduced and he was used in some of her songs and such, he became much more popular and sold a lot of copies. If it makes you feel any better, KAITO's V3 sets have sold more than Hatsune Miku's original voicebank. >…

Being a pretty hardcore Vocaloid (and UTAUloid) fan, I would like to verity that THIS IS TRUE.
There are so many other beautiful Vocaloids like Meiko, IA, galaco, and even Rin! Yet everyone focuses on the cliche and overused Miku.
My friends and I (Miku fans and not) all agree: Everyone should respect Miku for singing all the songs as a basis for other Voca/UTAUloids. But then you can respect everyone else more, for doing a better job of singing it.
That's all Miku is. A BASIC.

Kaito, with the right tuning and pitch, sounds like my dad crossed with a robot crossed with a Japanese speaker. That's why I like him so much

damn straight, that whole Vocaloid fandom should've gone up in flames along with the homestuckers the first day they walked in, useless reading without a plot and song maid up off computers, along with computer generated "fantasy" women.

As much as I'm a diehard fan of Vocaloid (judging by my username, whoda thunk?), I honestly agree. There are plenty of underrated Vocaloids that need more attention, such as Yuki and Kiyoteru. Hell, even the Engloids need more attention! I know that Engloids like Big Al and OLIVER are getting kinda popular, especially the latter, but they need more attention than Miku. Give her a break, guys. I'm not trying to start trouble or anything, but does EVERY SINGLE SONG have to revolve around her? Like ~Kawaii-Onigiri-Chan said, she's not the queen of Vocaloid; in fact, none of them are, they're Vocaloids and they should be treated as such. I understand WHY she's so popular, but people don't need to start freaking out and fangirling/fanboying whenever Miku is mentioned.

When (insert underrated Vocaloid here) is mentioned: "Meh."
When Miku is mentioned: "OMG MIKU111!!!!!ONEONE!!"

To be perfectly honest, while Miku is a pretty amazing Vocaloid, she's not very close to my favorite. My top three would probably be SeeU, Kaito, and Rin. Now, let's not get into how "overrated" Kaito and Rin are, this is about Miku.

If this was TL;DR for you guys, the point is Miku is amazing and all, but people need to settle down whenever Miku pops in. People need to stop giving her so much attention and focus on other Vocaloids.
